I just think that if anyone is going to replace Steve Rogers (until his triumphant return) it should be Luke. A friend of Cap's that never changed sides and always had Steve's back. Either that or Tony Stark should take a shot at it and fail MISERABLY just to see what being Cap meant.

Yeah I just think that Winter Soldier is too obvious and too easy a fit. I see Luke being reluctant but doing the suit justice. I also agree with Tony Stark being a dick, but thats why I would LOVE to see him crash and burn in an attemopt to be Cap since no one else seems to wantto do it.

Good man! I assume that it will be a short term replacement but I would love to see the switch. I just think there would be so many great stories from the racial implications of a Black man as Captain America, to all of the people that would hate on Luke within the Marvel U because they think he is selling out or dishonoring Rogers. Luke trying to cope with taking the place of his fallen teammate and friend. Then all of the jealous heroes that are mad because THEY should have been the new Cap.

Plus I would like to see Lukes assention to the shield take place much like Rodamus Prime in the original Transformers Cartoon Movie, in which people assumed it would be Ultramagnus, but someone else was just destined for the spot.

hmm, it might not be too bad an idea to see TS fall flat on his metal plated ass.... btw, did you see that new cap costume that alex ross designed for marvel? you can see it at marvel.com. Personally, i hate it. It looks good painted by alex ross, but alex ross can probably make even ambush bug look cool.

Agreed! Yeah I saw it th eother night. I didnt like it either, other than when painted by Mr Ross.

No one else in MU could fill his shoes.
There would DEFFINATELY be a quiet a few dissenters over the announcment, but,
there would be a good number of supporters too.
I just can't see anyone else doing the job!
